the rat race

it's a rat race 

and I will never win 

but at least I have made it 

this far.  

I have a roof over my head 

and the bills are all paid 

and I have good tires 

on my car. 

every day is hard 

every day is a struggle 

and most days I just want 

to drop

but I push on 

struggle through 

and hope for the best 

cause tomorrow is all that I 

have got 

I am no one 

nobody cares 

noone will miss this 

poor boy 

but even though 

life is hell 

theres a light at the end 

where death will 

finally bring me joy.
